3rd Stop: Tennessee

After South Carolina we headed up through North Carolina on our way to Tennessee so we could visit the Great Smokey Mountains.

We've finally found some elevation since we left Miami!

We thought we were going to a nice nature town in Tennessee surrounded by the Smokeys, I guess I didn't research it too much... Instead we ended up in Pigeon Forge Tennessee- tourist trap 101! Full of wax museums, outdoor activities, dinner shows, and everything else.

But driving into the city, and driving out of it had beautiful scenery. We drove all the way through the National Park on our way down to Atlanta to get a great view of the Smokeys. It felt so great to roll the windows down and breath the fresh COOL air. It dropped down to 68*F as we made our way through.
We didn't have a lot of time for a hike unfortunately, but we were able to get out and take a short walk up one of the pathways.

Some of the many pictures we took throughout the drive.

And we say goodbye to the scenic mountains.
