The lease to our first apartment was over on the end of April, so we tried to leave Miami then, but it just wasn't the right time for us. We hadn't renewed our lease, thinking we would leave by then. A lot of confusion later, and we barely made it into a new apartment for May 1st. Here are a couple pictures from our first move:
Our first apartment was at Waterford Landing (Left)
We moved quickly and very cheaply in a U Haul to a couple blocks away. (I think it cost a total of $34). We had some friends and the missionaries help us out.
We moved into a nice apartment down the street:
But, alas, our time had come to an end in Miami. Marc finished up his year of management experience with Burger King and decided it was time to pursue a Master's Degree. Since rent is way to expensive in Miami and we're far away from all our family we decided there was no reason to stay in Miami to pursue that course. So, only two short months later we packed up again and headed out for an adventure.
Though we don't have a whole lot of stuff, a move across the country is definitely more expensive than a move down the street. But we got a pretty good deal and packed everything up in a U Haul- Ubox and sent it to Utah, while we road trip for three weeks back.
We said our goodbye's to our favorite shake place, and in return I got the best shake I've had yet! It was the team USA choice (They had a new combination for several teams) I don't remember now unfortunately, but I think it had Guanabana, Mango, and something else delicious in it. Was it peach or something more tropical? It was DELICIOUS!! We also bought a very tasty fresh mango to enjoy before leaving to a desert.
We packed up, and headed out of Miami! On our way we made sure to drive passed this beautiful place for a last farewell.
