Family in Orlando!!

We had the chance to get out of Miami for the weekend to visit Marc's brother and family in Orlando. They went on a week long cruise, and then were able to stay an extra night in Orlando so we could meet up.

Driving to Cocoa Beach to meet them.

Just hanging out... Oops! Kirk is the one with all the luck today- as designated by the pooping bird.

Her many hand springs were too fast for me to catch. Hope is a great gymnast, and it was fun to see some of her skills!
Wes and Hailey took out my paddle board for awhile. The waves were a little bigger, so they mostly just rode the waves in and then paddled back out with their hands.
And then the twins finally got a turn when Marc went out to play with them.

It all seemed fun... until Marc jumped on and tipped them over! :)

Once again, priceline got us a pretty good deal on this hotel. The best part was, I didn't get to know the hotel until after I bought it. I just knew the area, the start level, and satisfaction review number. I chose the airport area, because Tonya said their hotel was near there. When we drove up to our hotels, they were not only in the same area, but shared the same corner parking lot! Talk about lucky and convenient!

Sunday afternoon we met them at the beach, and then Monday morning we went to Gatorland before their flight. It was a pretty cool park, and definitely full of gators!
I know they look fake, and they hold so still you could think that... until they move!
King of the Hill

Vultures just hanging out waiting for the food I guess.

I think this guy had just had feeding time!
This guy is a FATTY! He has to live out his days in isolation. He was captured because he ate all the local dogs, and then in captivity he tried to fight all the other alligators. I guess we learn that if you eat dogs, you are destined to be alone.

They also had beautiful birds

(Notice the peacock)

White Alligators! They are not fully albino, and are recorded to be 4 of only 12 white alligators in the world. They are rare, and don't survive well in the wild.

This one has a CRAZY eye

The Aviary: They let you go in and  hold the birds. You can buy a seed stick and the birds will swarm you. Below you can find Hailey, Hope, Dayne, and Tonya (taking pictures) inside with the birds.
Feed the Birds...

We also went to a little animal show that had a tarantula, water moccasin, and python that they brought out. I do not like the thought of water moccasins around!

It was great to see these guys, and we are really glad they spent the extra night so that we could come up and spend some time exploring Orlando!! You're welcome anytime :)
