27, am I really that old?!?

My 27th birthday was on Monday, September 30th.
Thanks again to all the wonderful people who wished me a happy birthday, and that my husband would spoil me, and that I would have a great day. It was fun to hear from you, and it came to pass. It was a wonderful day.

Marc has Mondays off, so except for a morning meeting, we got to spend the day together. We had a GroupOn for Parasailing at Aloha Watersports that we hadn't been able to use because the weather has been crazy. Finally the fates collided and we got to use it for my birthday!!
And we're off!

This is in Fort Lauderdale

That's us, just hanging around up there. It was so peaceful! You could look down into the ocean, or around and see the skyline of Fort Lauderdale.

After floating around for awhile, they pulled us in. They even let us dip our feet into the water!

Back in the boat.

Then we headed to the Dolphin Mall, which is HUGE, for some delicious food. There is this crepe place in the mall that I was craving, so when Marc asked what I wanted for my birthday, this is where we headed.
The picture isn't very great, because it is through glass, but you can watch them as they make your crepe.
I ordered a Steak BLT, and Marc ordered a Steak Mexicano. They were delicious, and giant. I couldn't finish mine, but Marc was good enough to help me out. :) Of course there was still room for gelatos! This mall also has one of my favorite gelato places since Europe. But apparently we were too anxious to eat them, because we didn't take any pictures!

Apropo, is the crepes place. And Marc took a picture of this car for Jason, since the cars were Jason's favorite part of his whole trip.

My wonderful husband called my mom to get the recipe for my favorite birthday cake. I think I've had it every year for my birthday since I found it. Except for on my mission, but Schwester Geiger and the Elders made me some super delicious cakes, so it was still a good birthday.
Doesn't it look delicious!?!? It was, and well since there is still some in the kitchen, I think I will take a break for a moment and go get a piece. :)
And I'm back...
I received lots of fun gifts from several people. Here are a couple pictures.
Here is a compilation of presents from several people. Marc's parents came down last weekend and brought the sewing machine from my grandma. They also secretly gave Marc their gift while they were here, so I could open it on my birthday. They gave me all of the sewing things (and gift card) so I can get started using my new sewing machine. My mom and family sent some money, and so far I've bought the swimsuit and a picture book I made of my trip to Europe last year. The rest of the gifts are from Marc, including the keyboard below.

It turns out Karma does come for you. After years of getting by always letting other people play the piano at church, I am now in a ward without any other piano players in the relief society. I get really nervous playing for people, and I haven't played much in the last few years. However, in this ward I play regularly for relief society, have played for a couple baptisms, and even helped out one day for the primary to practice their program. So my dear husband bought me this so I can practice at home! I enjoy playing by myself, I just get nervous playing for people, so this has been fun.
And lastly, we got home, and the ladies from the apartment office had left this on my door with a bag of candy. How nice!

Oh and I almost forgot! Because I helped play piano a week ago in the primary, this last Sunday the primary invited me and Marc in for cake to reward the kids for their hard work. Marc told the primary president that it was my birthday, and so when we got there she had the primary kids sing me happy birthday. And then we ate cake. :) It was fun to be with the primary kids.
