Summer is BUSY!

We have been having party after party. It's been so fun to be around so much family! I'll try to record all of it without breaking the internet with pictures.

8 Months!!

This little girl is growing so quickly.
She has such a fun personality. We end up being friends with at least half of the people in the grocery store before we are done shopping. She watches everyone and looks them in the eye and then gives them a huge smile.

 Daddy!

She loves her daddy. She gives him big hugs when he leaves, and sometimes I have to pull her off him so he can go to work. Then she waits for him to come home and jumps like crazy when she sees him and lunges for him. It's adorable. He's a great daddy.

She enjoys long walks, and like mom really likes her feet up to relax.

I think she's pretty styling in sunglasses, but she won't leave them on longer than a few seconds.

She stands really well holding onto something, and has stood for a few seconds by herself, but hasn't mastered that yet. She is really close to crawling, she gets onto her hands and knees and lunges... and then falls onto her belly or face.

 FOOD!!

She LOVES food! And she has now mastered picking it up and putting it in her mouth. She loves to suck on the dried mangoes (above), everything we eat that her dad gladly feeds her (see above how much she loves daddy...), and everything else that she has tried. Except when I mushed up some avocados- she gagged on those and tried to spit them out.

Sometimes daddy even shares his sweets.

Cousins!

She is getting very interactive and really enjoys being close to other babies. She is really into feeling eyes, mouths, and noses.
She figured out on her own that the gentleman should kiss her hand.

 Hair

She's got some pretty crazy hair, thanks to her rubbing all the sides and back off in her sleep. The top is long and fluffy and the sides are short, and well also fluffy. The top hair is long enough to put into a cute little pony tail.

She is however, not always happy. When she's sad, she lets everyone know it. Her face gets red really quick too.

Yup, that's her cousins sleeping while she cries... but she did eventually fall asleep and have a very good nap.

 July

We had a fun party on the 3rd of July with lots of family, ice cream, and fireworks.
Oh and a kiddie pool

Lots of help in the pool.

Fireworks

Homemade Ice Cream

 Lots of family!

We went down to Marc's sister's for the 4th of July and had TASTY bbq ribs.

Grandma and Cousin Time

Baby Blessing. I didn't get pictures of my sisters baby for the blessing. But Kendra and her cousin showed up as twinners! Kendra is in a dress that I wore as a baby :)

Afterwards we went out to my brother's and saw their cute puppies! (Two different dog families though)

Cousin Photo Shoot

Marc has three siblings who had babies within 6 months after we had Kendra. This weekend we were able to get three of the four together for the first time. We took some pictures in matching outfits, leaving some spaces to photoshop the fourth baby in. The ninja turtles each came with colored beanies and toys to distinguish which turtle they each are. But those didn't make it to the photo shoot.

This was a rough day for Kendra. We had just come from church and she didn't get in any naps.
And so below she is using her ninja skills to get some space.

Ugh dad, that's embarrassing in front of my friends!

Three siblings with their babies.

One more m&m to add!

"Now listen to me cousins, I'm the boss and I know you did it!"

Grandparents with the visiting grandkids. We missed the rest of you!

We found out if we pinned her arms under them she wouldn't smack them in the face. They appreciated it.

Zoo Day

Cool kids dressed for a day at the zoo

"We're ready!"

I wasn't sure if Kendra would be very interested in the animals yet, or even really notice them. But she loved them! She got so excited.

She almost touched the Kookaburra, when she wasn't supposed to. Her hands are so quick! But she did touch the armadillo very gently.

She LOVED the elephants,
but who doesn't love the elephants?

She did not love grandpa's hat. He tried to talk to her while wearing it and she would get really scared. But without it on she was excited to see grandpa!

Some of the animals who came up to see us.

Some of the group wandering around

They had really cool animatronic dinosaurs. The kids thought they were really cool. These sprayed water at people as they walked past, which was pretty fun.

Her crazy outfit is because we were going to do the cousin pictures in ninja turtle outfits, and she is Donatello- the purple one. So we put a purple skirt on her to distinguish... but then we didn't end up distinguishing in the pictures. :)

Birthdays!

She's giving great grandma Stanger her birthday present. She only lives a few minutes away so we enjoy getting to go visit her.

Pictures at her cousins 2nd birthday
Fun Daniel the Tiger birthday cake my sister made!

I also got to have a little roommate reunion at an old roommates bridal shower. It was so fun to see three of my four roommates from my last year of college.
There was just one baby missing, and one roommate missing. This was sure a fun house and fun to see them again!
