Continuing from month one, where he had a bad cold: By Christmas day he was really having a hard time. At the doctors the next day or two they chest x-rayed him and determined he had pneumonia. They sent us to the hospital, where he tested positive for rsv. Poor guy was a trooper and with lots of prayers he got to go home after only 2 nights. Luckily it was still December so it was on the same years insurance as his birth! They aren't really sure if he had pneumonia or if it was just the effects of RSV in the xray. They treated him for it anyway, and he made a quick recovery. The doctors said that if he did have pneumonia and RSV they could both take a turn for the worse and he could be in the hospital for 10 days including going into intensive care. We feel really blessed that he was able to recover quickly and not have to return. They did give us a super nose sucker machine that has been great to clear out all his mucus.
While Leo was recovering, Kendra got to have lots of fun in the snow with some of her Fletcher cousins.
He is finally feeling better! Turns out I have a very happy baby, with the cutest smiles! Unfortunately, he had a few more colds this month. It never got as bad again, but a couple times he started a coughing fit and his whole body would just get sad and he'd cry, like he was remembering how bad these coughing fits were.
