This may not be the most exciting post, but some have asked about our daily life here, so here it goes.
Marc was recently assigned to manage a store, when the new general manager didn't work out. He was asked to go help out at a store that was struggling and had their general manager fired. It was supposed to be temporary and he would return to his training store when they got a new general manager. Something in that didn't work out, so he got thrown into the fire and has been figuring out all the duties of a general manager. It has been pretty stressful, and he has spent a LOT of hours there. But things are looking good and he has received a lot of compliments from those above him. This is good news. They have recommended him as a quality coach (which is the promotion the training is working towards), so he can start having interviews for that position.
You may ask what I do all day while he is out working, this is a good question. :)
This lizard (above), who I haven't got quite so far to name yet, is intruding on the balcony area. The balcony area is the territory of the larger lizard pictured below. In response to the trespassing, the larger lizard has come and blows up his throat before chasing after the smaller lizard. Yes, I'm learning the territories of the lizards, and yes, I made a short video documenting it. Unfortunately, I still can't upload videos on here, so you can check it out at:
I also rotate mornings at the pool, which I usually have to myself, (pictured below) or doing yoga to start off the day.

Afterwards, I do some cleaning, reading, practice Spanish (which isn't going so well), find deals for our next adventure, walk around our complex, or work on some picture projects or my grandma's genealogy project. It's been very enjoyable to make up my own schedule and have some personal time. I have never had this time to myself where I didn't plan trips or such. It has been very relaxing and rejuvenating. Here are some pictures of where I walk:

I've also practiced cooking new recipes. We choose a cook book and pick out recipes for the week and then go shopping and I try them out. So far it's been going pretty well, I swear we've been eating well... although Marc has lost about 10 pounds. I think I've lost a couple too, with time for daily exercising.
However, Marc is good to make sure I get out of the house too. So, even though we didn't get time for a big adventure last week, we did get to go to Wolverine, and out to a cool diner.
This is what I mean by eating well... we split it instead of each having a whole one! :)
We did each have our own meal at Moe's Southwest Grill. Mom, this one was for you. They have a hard shell wrapped in a tortilla shell, so you get the crunch, but it doesn't fall apart! Delicious.
We also took a drive out to South Beach to see what that is all about. It was Sunday night a little after eleven. It was still party central. But the party moved from the beach to the clubs and open air restaurants that lined the street across from the beach.
The ride onto Miami Beach Island from Downtown.
This is where the party is at. All up and down the street. They don't lie, the street was lined with some pretty nice cars as well. Unfortunately it was too dark to get pictures of them.
This is a cool picture (above) because we are standing on the dark beach, taking a picture into the city. You can see the darkness on the right where the ocean starts. The beach is between us and the city, and the city itself has a slight glow from all the lights. Pictured below is the beach. Marc shined his phone flashlight while I took the picture. It was so calm. Maybe 100 yards from the street with hundreds of people partying, it was like we were in our own world of quiet ocean waves.
